Looks like you guys will be getting Gingerbread before the Charge ;P Build EH03 should arrive soon, Verizon is field testing it now.
EH03 is 2.3.5 and has a kernel 2.6.35.7
Running it since yesterday. Hardly a long or complete assessment yet, but seems smooth. No glaring bugs noticed yet. It'll be nice to get a de-binged, de-bloated version.

At this point who really cares whether we get it or not! Verizon is soooo slow to give us updates that as soon as my contract is up I am gone! They keep blaming Samsung but it's not them. All the other Galaxy devices get their updates! Goodbye Verizon!
Does this fix the issue with signal being displayed incorrectly when using a network extender?

We will soon see. I am sure that is all part of the field test.

Battery about 1% per hour
Signal is real good and being displayed properly
all in all it runs smooth
Have no Idea on the Network Extender

Droid Charge Gingerbread update is scheduled for November 29th...
I am glad any time Samsung updates a phone I have lost faith in VZW and Samsung
have not heard if they will be releasing for the fascinate or not

According to the unknown sources it originated from it's being field tested by VZW. I'm currently running it just to test it out. It runs pretty good, battery is better than stock Froyo, and 3G signal is good and steady. If not an official version it has to be real close.................

And she has also agreed that the screen is too small for her, and that she should have gotten the Fascinate.
I feel bad for the Continuum users, but then again, she has not had to endure the problems the Fascinate has had.

The Charge 2.3 GB update was supposed to push out yesterday, didn't really hear about anyone getting it OTA, but this morning quite a few people on this forum reported getting it. I still haven't gotten it OTA yet, but I guess the bigger pushes are supposed to be Thursday and Friday for us, so I hope I have it by then. Hopefully you Fascinate owners get the GB update by Christmas or just after it, sounds like it is not too far off.
I'm pulling it down OTA right now.
Downloaded the update, installed the update, phone rebooted, unpacked the update, phone rebooted and stuck at the Samsung splash screen.
Tried to reboot the phone, but the power button was unresponsive.
Pulled the battery and powered back on and it's stuck at the Samsung splash screen again.
Anyone else experience this?

I've tried running the update, but after it downloads it give me an error saying the "device runs out of memory". Not sure if it's referring to RAM or phone memory. I've tried the update in safe mode with the same results.

Same thing is happening to me....stuck at Samsung screen.
I've upgraded 2 Fascinates to EH03 so far today via OTA.
Both working very nice, so far.
Both had ED05 on them already, if that makes a difference.
Will be doing a third later this afternoon.
LOL...shoot I still haven't even seen a pop up for the Droid Charge GB update and it has been rolling out now for the past few days! Must be nice to just pull it manually OTA, i try it for the Charge and I get "Your system is up to date".
After a couple tries, I finally got the update to work...

a little bit yes, but still... I wanted more locale options and TW4.0 which should have come with GB XD and at least greatful since I'm not experiencing those issues other users are having after update...
If the phone restarting itself all the time, or going into a black screen that can only be recovered from by removing your battery is better...then yes my phone is operating better......GRRRRR to Verizon/Samsung for making the customers the beta tester
I have tried this download 6 or 7 times now, and each time I get a message saying "device runs out of memory". I have plenty of memory on my phone, over a gig on the actual phone and 8 on the SD Card. The RAM is fine as well. Has anyone else dealt with this problem?

Hey! The times that I have gotten the "memory" error was times that the phone is trying to use WIFI to download and I have no WIFI connection or when I have a WIFI connection but I believe with the update it doesn't use the WIFI so just make sure the WIFI is turned off and not that the phone says it won't use the WIFI. Try that and maybe it will work. Just a suggestion. Hope it helps.
I eventually got it to work after a few hours. The problem wasn't wifi or anything I could change on the phone, but just a system bug. Someone suggested I take out the battery and try, and I did and it worked.
