Global data not working on Samsung Galaxy S4 in Europe

I enabled Global Data before I left US. Upon arriving in Europe, I enabled 'Global Data' (Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Mobile Data (On) > Global Data Roaming Access > Allow access for all trip).

But it does not seem to be working. I cannot get roaming data to work. What am I doing wrong ? I need this feature enabled ASAP. Please HELP !!

PS : I called Verizon before I left US and paid $25 for 100 mb of Global roaming data.

avk,

I am so sorry you are having issues with receiving your data connection. Thank you for everything you have done thus far. Have you tried powering your device off and back on? As I do understand having access to data is of great importance have you tried reaching out to our Global Support team so they can further review your account and device? You can reach our Global Support team at... http://vz.to/1jgVJ5K

I have gone thru the Global site and also tried to contact Global Support team using the number provided in the support website. The call is not going thru. Which makes me wonder if Global voice is working.

What are my options to get Data and voice working ASAP ??

Did you get it working? Sometimes you have to pull Sim card out

Yes, have pulled the SIM out and put it back. Still no luck.

And your preferred network mode is global. Wow you might be stuck with WiFi until they get you provisioned correctly.  You can pick up a local providers prepaid sim which would change your number if no consistent WiFi. I use talkatone app for voip calls / texts but not sure about intl. Vzw global dept eventually will get your data going I'm sure

Yes, its set to Global. (Also tried manual option with no luck). The frustrating part is I specifically called Verizon before leaving and had them 'enable' global data. I was told that Global voice (roaming) should work by default. But as I found out the hard way, both Voice and Data are not working Smiley Sad
