I woke up this morning and realized half of my contacts are gone from my Galaxy S4. Help!
Do you back up your contacts to a cloud source like Verizon Cloud? You should be able to open the Verizon Cloud app on your phone and view your contacts and import them back to your phone. Same goes for if you use Google Drive or another cloud source.
I have only used the Backup Assistant Plus that is on my phone, but that did not restore them today.
Back up assistant plus is what Verizon used before the Cloud. Can you log into your Verizon account and go to My Account>My Device>Back up my contacts (this will take you to the cloud)
Within the cloud see if you can view/find the missing contacts.
They were not there in the Cloud (but thanks for the info on how to get there!). I did chat with a CSR who helped me locate them in my gmail account and get them back into my phone.
Should I now back everything up to the Cloud? I am not tech-savvy, so your help is much appreciated!!
Oh good! I prefer to attach my contacts to my e-mail, but I do also back them up to the cloud JUST in case.
If you have pictures you want to keep, videos, text messages, and then as added protection contacts, you could use the Verizon Cloud app and back up everything. If you have A LOT of stuff, I suggest you go through it first and to be connect to Wi-Fi when you back it up.
