I am SO brand new and am frustrated to the point of tears. My Samsung Galaxy 3 was working superbly, the I accidentally got some stupid voice control going, and I cannot even follow the steps to navigate around in it anymore. It will not let me do nearly anything, and is telling me everything on the screens and I have to "double-tap" everything in order for it to work...I have been trying to fix this for 5 hours..... help me someone

It sounds like you turned on an accessibility function.  You will have to "double-tap" your way to Settings > Accessibility and go through to find the item to turn off.

Ann, so happy to have some help. But the the problem is, it will not let me

scroll down. I can get to those screens, but it will not let me access

anything except the first 8 out 13... ??Swipe doesn't work. It just goes to

bottom of page that is visible, then starts over at top, instead of going

on to all the others below. ...

Any ideas on??

Try scrolling with TWO or three fingers.  I think I read somewhere that is what works when accessibility is turned on.

Hey the1bean1,

I know it can be frustrating when you have your phone stuck in a mode that you don't know how to get out of. I have the phone myself and I know exactly what you are talking about. This feature is called Talk Back. Is is for customers who have difficulty seeing the screen and would like the options read aloud to them. I understand that the frustration you are having is mainly with scrolling during this. To scroll, you much use TWO fingers. Let me explain how to turn the feature off.

1. Press the home button and get to the main screen.
2. Press the menu button on the bottom left of the screen.
3. Tap on Settings once, then double tap again to launch into the menu.
4. Once in settings, I recommend using a LIGHT touch with 2 fingers to scroll down (the reason I say light touch is because you may have the phone select an option if you stay on it for too long and it will enter into another menu)
4. Select "Accessibility" and then double tap again to lunch the menu.
5. At the bottom of the screen (no scrolling needed this time), tap "Talk Back" and double tap to open into the menu
6. Tap the "On" button at the top, then double tap to turn OFF
7. You'll get a confirmation to stop Talk Back, double tap OK and it's off!

I hope you were able to get this feature turned off! Please reach out if you have any other questions.

Thanks!
