Help needed sending a video via a text on a Samsung Galaxy S4

I had an iPhone that worked great and was able to send videos via a text message. With my new Samsung Galaxy S4 I am having the hardest time sending any video via a text. I tried to send a short 6 second video and it says the file is too large and try sending it via e-mail. I can receive videos via text but not send them. Can anyone help me out? This doesn't seem right. What the heck?

You might be sending it in HQ. Even 6 seconds of video in HQ is roughly 4-5mb on average depending on color range. You may need to lower the quality.

Let me try and help! The picture file size does matter when sending it. Try reducing the file size in your device settings or send the larger pictures to email and then to the other party.
