Hey VZW can you put out the Samsung Galaxy Nexus soon?

I've waited since this past summer for the SGS2 and you guys passed.  My LG Env2 is on its last legs and I want a nexus.

Help a brother out.

Doesn't help when Verizon is not saying word one about this.  A sign up page is one thing, a company not responding at all (excluding the sign up page) does not bode well.

If Verizon doesn't say ANYTHING this week, I would begin to wonder if they'll even release this phone THIS year.

I'm waiting anyway...don't want to switch carriers, and don't want any more bloatware that Verizon forces down our throats.

Hope you are right.  My annual upgrade is 11/19 and no way I'm getting a phone that has hardware buttons when future s/w is going to be using the virtual buttons.

Hurry up and release this phone Verizon!

I take the more cynical approach that says it'll be officially announced the week of 11/7 for pre-order starting 11/17 with delivery/in-store sales on the 25th as part of their big black Friday event. Plus this has the advantage (for Verizon) of putting some early Razr adopters past the 14 day return period. Of course I'd rather they just announce it and get it over with it already.

I'm going with no earlier than Dec 1st since Verizon tends to put their Android releases on a Thursday.  Hopefully they decide to surprise us.

It is just really frusturating, since I need a smartphone since I travel a lot.  However I don't want to waste money on something I don't want.

I saw something about how it could be weeks after the galaxy nexus is released in Europe that it would be released in the US and i just about spit all my coffee on my computer monitor.  so much nerd rage zomg.

The VZW employees won't post any speculation on future devices because they often don't even know when the phone is coming either.

This is all based on past reading on this community concerning any other "hot" device.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I never said anything about anyone here responding about the nexus. I'm wishing that Corporate would come out and say something, and was just posting to get my voice heard. It's answers like these that make me think that you're dismissive about the whole thing.

Until they announce the release date, this is as official as it is going to get.

Well, if the rumors are to be believed, we may not see this until after black friday....typical, put the bloatware infested phones first...

Say what you will, just know that there are many many people that are absolutely disgusted with this launch. Verizon has a chance to change some of the negatives that many people in the Android community think about them but they're failing completely. It's pretty pathetic, who officially announces a device and says that it will be out later this year? I swear nobody would do that besides VZW. You honestly can't blame us for being fed up, look at all the mess ups Verizon has put us through this year alone. Thunderbolt and Bionic just to name two of the bigger ones. Verizon has not came out with one good device in a little over a year now. I swear it's really getting sad, it's like we are forced to pick between the best network coverage which is Verizon or the best devices which every other carrier gets. The Nexus has Android 4.0, this is a chance for Verizon to seriously step up, but they're going to release the Razr and Rezound that are both on 2.3 and give it more attention then the Nexus? I don't understand this at all. I have to say if we don't hear something soon, I'll be taking my $250 monthly bill to T Mobile and I'll import the GSM version of the Nexus from the UK and use that. I've been with Verizon for 10 years and the past couple years has been nothing but bad. Someone in Verizon that is either higher up OR can actually give us YOUR CUSTOMERS some information that WE DESERVE bottom line.

I actually saw someone comment on another site that they had a $750 bill with 8 lines and would be ready to move!

Verizon: We've got this great phone we're going to launch

Me: Looks great, when?

Verizon: Later...

Me: Umm....what?

Verizon: Well, we could tell you, but then we'd have to kill you.

"I actually saw someone comment on another site that they had a $750 bill with 8 lines and would be ready to move!"

And this means what? To me, it means that "someone" is willing to risk a huge monthly bill and 8 phone lines on an inferior network over a phone. I understand the need to make a drastic move into another phone because of bad luck with the present one, I really do (and I'm fairy certain neither of you nor Beardy are interested in my solution). But my solution is ultimately better than switching networks.

And who the hell is "you"?

And what part of the anatomy did this come from?

I feel the same way as everyone else that has posted.  I am currently checking out reviews of Sprint and AT&T.... both carry a product I want (SGS2) and so I am debating if switching to another carrier would be better than waiting.

So far, all I have seen is that you can wait forever and not get the product you want.

All 3 carriers have 4g in my area, so really it is just down to brass tacks at this point.

I agree fully Xandor.  What good is a sign up/information page if they never respond with any information.  It would seem to bee much better customer support to update their customers on the phone that is far and away the most anticipated phone in recent history that to stick there head in the sand and let the rumor mills run rampant.

I have no doubt that the only reason they put up the useless info page was to counter the rumors that they were not going to carry the phone at all.  I was not impressed by the fact that they put up a page saying they will release it sometime.  I have four OG droids on my plan and all are on their last legs, I suppose I could try a Razr if one went our and I had no choice.  Or I could just switch carriers, though unlikely since VZW does have the only real network in the US.

Oh weel enough ranting.

Well what we know certainly is not just rumors from the community about a "hot" device. We have pictures of YOUR map pricing list with pricing and dates for the Nexus. I really wish I could talk to somebody about this device besides the clueless reps you get when you call or email Verizon. There has to be a way to talk to someone higher up in marketing or something like that. This device means everything to us Android junkies that are on verizon and even a lot of people who are not on Verizon but plan on switching. But I can say if they don't release it by black Friday a lot of the people who were planning on coming to Verizon for it will just import the device from the UK and use it on t mobile or at&t. I'd be willing to bet a good amount of Verizons own customers would do the same also.its pretty sad they're releasing a device like the razr and rezound first over the first device with Android 4.0 on it. This launch is already turning out to be another Thunderbolt fiasco I already can see it. Bottom line is that I think we need to start expressing how much this launch means to the community to somebody that has some pull in Verizon. Not exactly what route to go but if others would like we can start figuring it all out.
