Horrible echo for other caller w/car bluetooth handsfree coonection

Brand new Samsung Galaxy s4 cellphone.  When talking on cellphone via   our 2011 Sonata's bluetooth speaker,  the other end of the call hears  themselves talk as a constant echo.  LOUD too. Doesn't matter if the  other phone is a land line or a cellphone.

It's as if the microphone is picking up the voice from the speaker.  And  I am not sure if it is the cellphone's microphone itself that is  picking up the callers voice,  or it is the Sonata's microphone.  Never  happened before with 3 other different cellphone models we have paired  with the Sonata.

Any ideas on what is wrong?   Is there a setting somewhere that needs to be changed?

That's no good, but I'm here to help. Have you tried using any other Bluetooth devices like a headset with your Galaxy S4? Have you tried deleting the paired connection and pairing again?

Yes,  I tried deleting the paired connection and pairing again.

I will try pairing in a different car.

I have a Motorola flip Bluetooth that has the same issue. Is there brands/models of Bluetooth that are compatible with the Samsung Galaxy 5 that don't have this echo problem?

LasinaH,

Please clarify. Are you telling me that this problem is caused by an incompatible headset?
