The usual method -- Messaging, Menu, Settings, Emergency Alerts -- doesn't work because no Emergency Alerts setting appears on my phone.
Is there another method?
These alerts are driving me crazy.
Open the Emergency Alerts app in your app drawer. Then press menu > settings > alert types and uncheck what you don't want to receive.
