How can I go back to ICS? Jellybean is destroying battery.

Since getting the FORCED jellybean update this morning my phone has been using twice the amount of memory and draining my battery 2x as fast. I dont want this update and would like to go back to ICS as my phone ran better and caused less headaches. I have to turn off everything just to make it last for 3 hours. Before with ICS my phone would last a good 6 hours with use before it needed a charge. Is there a way to take Jellybean off or make it so it stops using so much memory?

You could try the tricks in this thread.  I don't know if you have a SGIII (no phone model indicated) but I am guessing maybe you do.

Good luck.

I wish there was a way to go back to an earlier OS, but unfortunately, there isn't. Once you've upgraded, you are stuck.

It's not the o/s, it's google +.  New g+ upgrade out there - try it.

I can provide clarity Mattyshore!  There is no Verizon Wireless approved process to return to the previous software.  Are you receiving a memory error for a specific application?  If so, please clear the cache for that application my navigating to Settings>Application Manager>Tap app>Clear cache.  I would also like to provide options to increase your battery life.
1.  Please ensure the NFC feature is off in Settings>More Settings>NFC.

2.  If you don't use Backup Assistant Plus but it is activated on your phone please deselect what is automatically synced (pics/music/videos/documents) You can do this in Settings >Accounts>Backup.  The update defaulted to enabling all sync services (photos, music, Google , instant upload, internet, picasa, ads.) Disable.

3.  Please ensure the Power Saving mode is on in Settings>Power Saving Mode

4.  Confirm the backlight is on auto-brightness & adjust screen timeout length in Settings>Display.

Please adjust and share.  Thank you.
