This is my childrens phone. They changed the password and right away tried to change is back. Now the phone wants a typed password and it previously had a pattern password. What can we do to get back into the phone?

Uh oh, we definitely want you able to access your phone. You can attempt to change the password using the Android Device Manager here http://bit.ly/1MhljHf . You would login using the gmail account on the phone.
