today, I suddenly got this message after using the phone app - now I cannot make a phone call - it just comes up with this message - I can go into contacts and call using the phone - but only to my contacts - when I try using the keyboard it shuts down with the same message. already tried what was suggested to go to applications, app manager, contacts, clear cache, clear data and take out the battery. This is ridiculous - if I have to dial a number and they are not in my contacts I can't. Help?

Ok let me tell you what does work now that I wiped the cache- if my phone is
in the horizontal position I can get phone, dialer and contacts and dial out
- but when it is in the vertical position it gives me the message
unfortunately contacts has stopped - wow - how do I fix that now?

Glad there was a workaround to kick it into gear. i was going to suggest turning off screen rotation, and then back on to see if it was just a gyroscope issue.

AActually it's a known issue. It was there in kit kat and lollipop but I have not seen it in a while. I would do a cache partition wipe.

I also let Snn5 know - after wiping the cache partition - the only way I can
use the phone, is if the phone is a horizontal position. If I try using it
vertical I get unfortunately contacts has stopped - but if I open app in the
horizontal position it works just fine - weird? how do I fix that?
Thanks
