Not sure why a four-year-old thread was dredged up, but the above answer is correct, as is yours. Either option works.
Bruh. This thread is from 2015 and Ann gave correct instructions for that phone model.
My phone takes a screenshot by holding power and volume down. Different phone models can have differing ways of doing the same thing you know.
