In January my Samsung Galaxy IIIs recived a 'mandatory' update (I had no other option but to say ok when the message poped up.)  And ever since my camera light flashes when I get a phone call, an email or a text message.  How do I turn this feature off?  I have looked everywhere!

The option is called "Flash Notification" and is found under Accessibility settings and the Hearing subheading. I had the same problem, took me forever to find the option to turn it off.

Never fear, help is here jrs7676! To update this feature please select the notification indicator. Once here you'll see the option to disable the flash notification. Please keep us posted if we can offer any additional support, thanks!

I had the same issue, though it was flash on phone ring and alarm ring only.  To customer support @1 - I have to say, there's no notification indicator as such that I found.  Where is this located?  I could have used this information last Friday - too bad I didn't see this thread!

This flashing has been making me crazy for months.  No one could figure out what was going on with it, so since my phone is insured a replacement was sent.  The replacement was having trouble with the sim card pretty right away (faulty, yay?) so I put everything back in my original handset, which had been fully reset.   That part sucks, but it seems to have fixed the weird flashing.  It's a rather drastic way to fix the phone, but if you're backed up, it will reload everything app-wise.  Make sure you back up your phone's photos, music, etc.  Those didn't reload.
