How do i enable hotspot while roaming

I was in Mexico last week and the i could not turn on the wifi hotspot on my phone.

I worked on my wife's phone (same plan).

AEndzell  It's important to always have access to everything we need. I'm sorry you were having problems using your hotspot. I definitely want to make sure this doesn't happen again.

You have the option of using your personal hotspot while traveling outside the US. Can you please provide me with the steps you took to set up your hotspot? What's the make and model of your phone. Are you still having problems using your personal hotspot?
