How do you get the voicemail icon to go away when there is no voicemails?

After getting a voicemail and listening to it and deleting. The icon and notification still tells me I have a voicemail. How do I get rid of it?

If you don't have any voice mails you want to save, go into settings>application manager>All (scroll left to all)>voice mail and delete the cache, delete the data and restart your device. You'll have to log back into your voice mail afterwards. You could also try JUST deleting the cache and restarting to see if that works.

Ended up calling Tech and they did everything but nothing would work. Had to finally do a factory reset to solve the problem.

UKGal, sorry for the false alarm. You can reset the voice mail indicator by accessing your voice mail inbox by calling *86 and entering your password. Once you're in, press the (*) star key to end that session. This will reset your voice mail message indicator.
