How much will the deductible to replace a cracked screen be?

I recently cracked my S6 Edge screen while the phone was in my purse! I went into the store to see about getting the replacement one and was told it would be $149 deductible before I could get a new one and they would ship it to me. I am somewhat new to Verizon, I switched from AT&T. Has it always been this expensive? I have never cracked a phone out of all my years of having one, so I'm new to the whole process.

Yes, that is the deductible Assurion charges for an insurance claim. Assurion is also the insurance carrier for AT&T where it is likely the insurance deductible is the same.

Keep in mind, you WILL NOT get a "new" device, but a "refurbished" one as a replacement.
