How to Forward a Text Message

The Galaxy S4 is my first smartphone; I've had it about one month.

Verizon Wireless has instructed me to forward a text message on my device to something called an "SMS 7726".

I spent about 30 minutes on the support site and in the users' guide, before posting my question, but I could not find any useful information.

How do I forward a text message on my device to an SMS 7726?

Cheers ~ Mark

To forward a text message, press on the text until you get a pop-up with all sorts of choices as to what to do with the text message.  Press Forward.  Enter the Recipient's name ... in this case, type 7726 (as noted earlier, that's the address to send spam texts to Verizon).  Add to the message, if necessary.  Press Send.

Were they asking you to forward a spam text message?

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

The best thing you can do is just delete the message.  7726 spells out SPAM on the keypad.

Yes, that works.  Thank you.  I was pressing-and-holding the text on the index screen, instead of the actual "balloon" in the thread itself,  That's why the pop-up menu did not include "Forward".
