How to get Bluetooth to pair with S7 when it tells me no nearby devices found?

My Galaxy S7 won't connect to my Bluetooth, even though my Bluetooth is on and only about 6 inches away from my phone. When I run the scan, the message says no nearby devices found. Please help

A bluetooth headset? Your car? Is the bluetooth device you are attempting to pair turned on and broadcasting?

Many Bluetooth devises need to be in a "scan" mode for other devises to discover them. Check the documentation of the devise you're trying to pair to the phone.
