How to send photos to PC using USB

When I connect my S7 to my Windows 7 (64-bit) via USB cable, Windows sees the phone, and asks if I want to upload photos and I answer yes. Then Windows says no new photos on the phone -- FALSE!

On my previous Galaxy S3 (I'm really starting to miss it) all I had to do was connect the device and I could import photos to the PC using Windows.

I could even "drill down" into the phone and examine its folders to look for photos to copy/delete.

Now, I can't even see the folders!

What gives? This is a huge step backwards for me. Transfer by email is 'way too slow!

With the Marshmallow operating system, the default USB mode is charge only. Once you connect the phone and computer, pull down the phone's notification shade and change the USB mode to File Transfer.

had the same problem but did what was suggested. It worked but was way to slow and it also loaded file photos from my phone. Not happy about that.

I have not been able to find a USB mode in my notification shade. Frustrated!

You may need to scroll down, depending on how many notifications you have open. There should be two USB notifications: one that says Charging and one that says USB Charging; tap the one that says USB Charging and change it to File Transfer. See if this helps:
