How to transfer pictures from my phone to computer?

How do I get my computer to recognize my new S7 phone under MY COMPUTER so I can transfer pictures to my desk top? My home and work computers do NOT recognize my new phone when I connect it with the USB cord. My previous Galaxy S5 worked great before.

I use this phone for work and have to take pictures of job sites and transfer them to my computer.

The default is charging when connected to a computer with the USB cable. You have to change the connection type from the phone's notification bar for you to access the phone's internal memory from the computer.
