How to use Wearable Quick Reply option

I have been trying to use the "Wearable Quick Reply" option for months. It should allow you to select pre-typed text messages to send. I cannot get to work. The default andriod message app has a quick reply option that works perfectly which is why I will not switch to Verizon message+ as my default message application. I contacted a Verizon rep who promised they would get back to me with an answer but after about 3 weeks I don't think I will get an answer. Shown below is the transcript of my conversation with the rep. Anyone else with ideas?

In case no one ever answered you ...
This particular option gives you the ability to send a fast response when you receive a message on a connected device, like a smartwatch or compatible Bluetooth. It does not work on the actual phone at all.
Only the option to send AUTO replies .. as in when your in driving mode.... works on the phone it's self. Unless you use a different app, like the Samsung default messaging apps.
