I can't talk on phone calls with out speaker phone

I tryied  to cleaning my mic and I restarted my phone. I also seen that my screen has been locking up more often also.

I use speakerphone more often than not - people complain they can't hear me, so I put them on speaker and it is "much better" so they say.  I can hear callers fine either way.  Speakerphone is not always convenient though.

I've tried with HD calling on and off (it's currently off because that seems to be better, but not good).

A bluetooth headset also works fine for those times when speakerphone is not an option.  I just don't know why the sound quality is so poor when trying to use it as a regular phone.
