I can't text to shortcode numbers

I am using the Verizon Message+ app in a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

I can't send texts to shortcode numbers unless I am connected to wi-fi.  I realize that I set the app to "never allow" by mistake.  But now I can't figure out how to change it back.

I've googled it and read several different answers, but none of the answers I've found actually help me because they all seem to be for an older operating system, and the screen have a place to allow premium SMS.

Can someone help me figure this out?

Thanks!

Rae, congratulations on upgrading to the Galaxy S7 phone, I hope that you enjoy it.  I will look into this messaging issue for you.  What message do you get when you try to send a shortcode message?  We can try to reset the application:

I did the same thing with the Samsung Messages app... after spending a couple hours chatting with a support rep from Verizon last night, they said this is a known bug in the samsung marshmallow / android 6.0.1 release (of course, I can't point at that bug list, and neither could they). It seems clear to me the dev team just missed putting that setting in the UI.

Options they mentioned were: wait for next update, switch to another messaging app where I haven't answered "never allow". They may have suggested factory reset of the phone as the VZW rep in this thread does - not sure.... either way, I'm not super interested in dealing with that.
