I click on a contact, and phone automatically dials. Thoughts how to turn this feature off?

When I click on a Contact, phone automatically dials.  Does not give me option to edit, text, etc.  Straight dials.  Any idea how to turn this feature off?  Thank you.

Hmmm, you should definitely be able to edit your contacts. What icon are you pressing when you select a name? What happens if you add a new contact manually? Are you able to edit that contact?

My apologies, I meant someone saved as a Favorite.  I found the answer in another poster's question.
