Sometimes the updates switch the network setting from LTE/CDMA to Global, you might check that ... also removing/reinserting the SIM card may help.

there's 3 options on network mode, Global, LTE/CDMA and LET/GSM/UMTS, which one is it supposed to be on?

Thanks for your help!

Have you tried removing the SIM card for a few minutes (be careful not to touch the gold contacts), then reinserting and allowing it to establish a fresh network connection?

I just finished doing that, still nothing....this is very irritating. Is there something else that can be done? I have a freaking X on top of my bar....and even going outside my office took 3 min after restating the phone to get signal.

So you did get a signal after going outside?  Cell service isn't guaranteed inside buildings.  You could try a new SIM card ... they're free at your local Corporate VzW store or by contacting Customer Service.

I did get signal outside, but the thing is that I used to get signal inside too. I will try to contact CS later on today.

thanks for all your help!

Are you knowledgeable about the infrastructure of your building? Can you verify that something has not changed within your building? More electronic equipment from other offices within your building, new equipment on the roof(antennae, AC units, etc.l..), new facade on the building, a change in available voltages in adjoining offices etc... to list but a few examples. What about the same type of items on buildings surrounding your building? Any multitude of interference could possibly be hindering the signal inside of your building which may have nothing to do with the update.

Not guaranteed OUTSIDE of buildings, either.

this is frustrating, nothing has change on my work environment...all that has changed is the signal on my phone after update

Are you the only office in the building? Do you own the building? Are there no buildings around your building? Do all instances of building maintenance/upgrades/repairs/changes inside the entire building go through your approval?

Unless you can answer yes to ALL of those questions, it is unlikely you can be positive your statement is true.

I've worked here for 5 years, sit on the same spot for the past 3 years, never had a problem with signal before.

What does that have to do with ANYTHING else which may have changed within the building?

Since you have not changed anything in your immediate office, NOTHING else has changed within the entire building????

I have worked in the same building for quite some time. There are maintenance personnel roaming the halls ALL the time(electricians, plumbers, equipment installation specialists, etc...). Simply because nothing has changed in my office, I would not assume nothing has changed around my office. In fact, I am positive the opposite is true. These changes can certainly affect signal in my office even though nothing has changed in my office.

I still don't understand the solution you found to resolve the issue.

The update cannot be rolled-back.

So, which helped in this situation:  Changing the network setting or removing/reinserting the SIM?
