I have noticed that on my galaxy s3, apps take longer to open (about 1/2 a second) when I am on 4G whereas they open instantaneously on WIFI. How do I fix this?

This is happening to most of the apps like Clock, Chrome Browser, Facebook, Email, Yelp etc
When I click on their icons to open them, nothing happens for 1/2 a second (it makes me think may be I didnt press correctly) and then the app opens.
I noticed that this is not happening on the Sprint version of the phone that my co-worker has.
Is this because of the Wifi Offloading that Verizon tries to do? Do others have a similar issue? How do you fix it?

Well, my experience with the Verizon S3 was horrid to say the least. I had many bugs much like yours. The 4GLTE does seem to be kind of messed up on the S3 rather than the Note 2. This is because the 4G radio isnt integrated with the main motherboard on the S3 causing there to be bugs. This is why with some people, updates didnt fix many problems on the S3. i had to buy the Note 2 retail due to this problem.

No problem at all. Apps open up immediately, 4G lte no problem. Do you clean your ram once in a while (through task manager), also I go, once a week, and clean my data, on apps, such as google play store, etc. If the RAM gets pretty high it will slow down. Also, clean your history on your browser when you log in.

Yes, I do clean up my RAM and I also reboot my phone and clear cache by going to the settings menu. I don't believe its a RAM issue because on WIFI, the apps open up immediately. The lag is only on 4G LTE. If its a RAM issue, it will also be slow in WIFI, isn't it?
Prior to upgrading to jellybean, I had done the following to turn off constant wifi notification. Did you do this? Do you see a constant wifi notification in your notification window?
- DIAL *#6335623#
- A menu will appear
- Select Disable WifiOffloading.

I've never done that?. I just go into wifi, disable and that's it. Jelly bean is working great. Wonder if something happened after you doing that process then installing JB?
Also, download a speed test, I use speedtest.net from the google play store. And see what that gives you with your data connection.
