Title says it all. The update details say "This update prepare the device to use the Samsung Pay app. After the update, customers can download and install the Samsung Pay app once it is available from the Google Play Store." (direct quote from the update details)
I read up on this very thing earlier this morning. Some carriers included a short cut for the app. Others will have to download it from the play store once it is made available, but the writer of the article did not know when that will happen.
They do this every time. My phone is good S6, my bank participates....but vzw the last to the table. We buy the latest phone, because we want the latest technology. It's like having a toy you're not allowed to take out of the box.
UPDATE: I managed to get around to download Samsung Pay and i used to app successfully today with my AMEX card.
First download the Framework APK first then the Samsung Pay APK second. and it worked.
