I just got the 3g Samsung legend and wifi won't work.

I just got the 3g Samsung Legend 2 days ago. Pretty new to smart phones. I had no problem with wifi connections and did not need password to use it, but today after 5pm it says it "Authenticating"  then it says "disconnected". Even though i did not need my wifi password before now it says it needs it. I have been able to get access to wifi no problem. I did enter my password from my home wifi and it still won't work. My wifi icon is also gone from my apps. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. But when I enter my password for my home WiFi, it says password is incorrect!!!   Otherwise the phone works OK exceopt that when home I'm using up shared data instead of linking into WiFi.  Spent over an hour with VZ chat ... to no avail!!!

Let's see what's causing the problem! Do you experience the issue when attempting to connect to all wi-fi networks or only your home connection? When did the problem begin? Hi Nicklava - Let's put you back in control of how your phone is using data! Were you at home when it was prompting you for the password? When accessing the WiFi menu through Settings>WiFi, are you showing an open SSID or one with a lock? Does the SSID match your home network?
