I just installed Verizon Messager to my galaxy 3. I want to know if I can set-up different tones for incoming message for individuals?

Can I set-up different ring tones for incoming messages from people on my Contacts ... ?

Yes.  Go to your contacts and then edit each one and choose the sound you want.
