I moved to another country and use my Verizon Samsung SIII with a new sim card from another provider. Can I use my current provider on this phone while visiting the United States?

I moved from the USA to Australia and now use my old Verizon Samsung Galaxy SIII with a vodaphone simcard. Can I continue to use that sim card and phone setup when I visit the United States?

Aaron, we appreciate that you've reached out to us with this concern. Whether or not you are able to utilize service in various countries has no bearing on the device itself. The only stipulation for using your device is your current carrier. We hope you enjoy your trip.

Good question pandalicious. You will need to contact your current carrier for information regarding using their service in the United States. If you want to use our service, you can purchase prepaid service with us or contact our global support team. Here is a link with their contact numbers http://vz.to/1LYqeMU .

Thank you very much for the reply. I would just like to clarify my

question: will my phone not be locked to only be able to use Verizon

services while in the United States? I seem to remember when I purchased

the phone (years ago) that it would not have been possible to switch

carriers since the phone is locked inside the US.

I have spoken to my provider here overseas, and I will be able to use the

service in the USA, so that is not an issue. I just want to be sure that my

Verizon Samsung Galaxy SIII will allow that while in the United states.
