I need help, phone is frozen, cannot not power off, calls arent coming through, not sure what to do

I noticed it was freezing this morning, taking long to use an app, etc. same thing with camera. Now it is completely frozen, charging is not working and I cannot power off. Icons are real faint on the screen, could it be a virus, how do I determine , Sunday evening 6:36, stores are closed I am sure.
