I9500 in the US?

I'm in Baghdad, Iraq as a contractor and just bought an S4 - I9500. From what I am told, the I9505 is sold in the U.S. Will my 9500 work in the U.S.? Will it have the same or limited use? As long as I can send/recieve calls/texts, I'm fine. I just need to know.

Yes it'll work on a GSM carrier like AT&T or T-Mobile in the U.S. It will not work on Verizon or Sprint who use CDMA technology.

I'm going to end up in the Philippines before too much longer and I know that they use both the 9500 and the 9505 over there, but I'll be in the U.S. for a little while and I just wanted to make sure it worked. Thank you.
