I've been using the S Health (walking mate) app the last few days, and it consistently will reset the number of steps taken. IE it will show 1000, I walk around a lot, and I see it up to 3500+. Then after a while I bring my phone out again and see it's down to 700. Today it went from 1500+ to 0 on my way to work. Does anyone else have this issue, or know a way to fix it?

That's not a good way to keep track of your walking deragun. When did this start happening? You can try going to Settings> More> Application Manager> All> scroll down to S Health> select Clear Data> Clear Cache. Once you do this, restart phone, and then access application to see if gives correct information again. Please keep us posted.
Thanks you,

I know that there was an update available for sHealth from the Samsung Apps Web Site. Verizon didn't include this in their version of the Galaxy S4 but it can be installed without problems but you'll need to find the app and get it from another source. No worries this doesn't violate any TOS but you may need to allow unknown sources in your settings to allow the app to install.
