Is anyone having touch screen issues?

My device is only a few months old and at first it was very quick and now to text or touch anything on my screen takes multiple hits and it is ridiculous. There should not be any touch screen issues already.

I have gone into safe mode to see if it helps but it doesn't and I try to keep minimal apps on my phone and I don't understand why this is happening. This is infuriating and makes me never want to purchase another Samsung product ever again. These phones aren't cheap and there should be no problems already. I have never had such horrible touch screen issues.

I've had this happen to me on my Galaxy S5!  What helped me was clearing out the cache and data of the TouchWiz application.  It helped make it run smooth again.

Go into settings - applications - application manager - It will say downloaded at the top, swipe over to the ALL column and find the touchwiz app.  Force stop it, then clear data.  Do a quick restart of the phone and you should be good to go!  Hope this helps.

Mookinb, we don't want you to have continuous issues with your screen. You mentioned that you placed your device in safe mode. Did you still have issues with your screen when it was in safe mode? Does the device have any physical or liquid damage?
