I currently have the Samsung galaxy s3 activated on my account. If I were to buy a used iPhone 4 could I, every few months or so, switch between my iPhone and my galaxy? Just to Switch things up and prevent myself from getting bored with Either phone. I'm wondering if there is a certain amount of times you can activate a phone on a specific account. And what process would I have to go through every time I wanted to switch between the phones. I understand that each phone uses a different sized SIM card. Would I need to buy a nano SIM card for the iPhone and then an adapter to use it on my galaxy? Is it even possible to just buy a SIM card? And being that I wouldn't be using the original SIM card that came with my galaxy, what information would I lose? Thank you!

The iPhone 4 does not have LTE, so you would have to dial *228 to activate it. Unfortunately, this may disable your SIM that's used for the SGSIII, definitely will after a certain amount of time. If they were both LTE phones (iPhone 5) it would be as simple as swapping the SIM.

The different voicemail systems will also require the OP to setup their voicemail each time they switch between android and iphone. Any saved voicemails will also be lost.
The iPhone 5 uses a nano SIM card and the Galaxy S3 has a micro SIM. An adapter would be needed to use the same SIM between the two devices.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Dear bsmith123,
Good afternoon. Both are great devices, so I am sure you will definitely not be bored switching between the two. Yes, you do have the ability to switch between the two devices. However, I would like to provide some clarifiation with switching between devices.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a 4G device and requires a SIM for activation. The Apple iPhone 4 is a 3G device and does not require a SIM card nor comes with one. The information provided by demmo86rt is correct when you decide to switch between the two. You may change devices up to four times in one bill cycle. In the event something were to happen with the current SIM in your Galaxy S3, we would have the ability to send one to you or pick one up at the store at no charge.
As far as accessories, you would not be able to use same accessories such as charges for both devices as they are not compatible. When you decide to switch between devices, as long as you do not delete anything on the device or do a hard reset, the content will remain on the device. Should you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. Have a great day!
Thank You,
