Is there a way to send a group text as split threads for each person so that any reply comes to me only without everyone else in the group seeing the reply?
I have a Galaxy 4. When I send a group text, I have the option to click the "group conversation." This is immediately above where you would type your text in the box. If I DON'T check it, everyone gets the original message, but when anyone replies it goes just to me and I can respond and it goes just to them. I am soccer mom for daughter's team and so my group texts involve maybe 15 people and it sure would be annoying for everyone to get everyone's response and comments. When I want everyone involved in the conversation and everyone to see everyone's comments, I click on the "group conversation" and everyone sees everything. I don't know if you have this option on your phone or not but this comes on my phone.
that's what group message do one reply and all see it not just a one person
I guess I'm thinking more of a picture sent using group text. I don't appreciate having to see everybody's comment about the picture. This is why I send things like this using split threads. I assume no one else would want to receive so many texts that have nothing to do with them.
Thanks, anyway. I guess deleting the text is the only option. I can continue to use Handcent messaging instead. It's more customizable.
Yes! You understand exactly what I mean! I have the Galaxy s7 and I just checked out what you said. I can select to have replies sent to just me or the group. Thank you, thank you for your help! I am most appreciative! ☺️
