Is my Verizon Galaxy s5 unlocked for international use?

I'm headed to Spain in August and want to buy a local SIM to use my Galaxy on the Vodaphone network. I've heard all newer Verizon smart phones are unlocked, but I'd like to confirm it BEFORE I get to Spain.

Has anyone had experience using a European SIM in a Verizon Galaxy s5?
