Where I live, when somebody dials my apartment number in the intercom, I receive a call, I have to answer and dial "9" for the door to open. Is there a way for my phone to do this automatically?

It's a safety feature - my son lives in a brand new apartment complex, and it works the same way - we know his "code" (or we can look him up in the directory) - it calls his phone and he has to respond to open the gate to let us in. And I don't think there's an easy way (or any way) to circumvent it. First, it would have to detect all calls coming in from the apartment complex. And if you are not at home, it would open the gate regardless... not good.
The system is intended to ensure you know who is at the gate wanting access, and you need to grant them access.
I know there are ways to set up a number with pauses and commands, such as used when you call voicemail to auto enter passcodes, but Im not aware of a way to auto answer with dialed commands when receiving. I only know you can set a phone to auto answer within its settings, but not include instructions after answering. IDK, but you must be in a really safe neighborhood. I can see an auto-door-unlocking app as a safety concern. You know how squirrely tech is nowadays.
