It must be that top level of customer service one can expect from Phone providers. It called **bleep** treatment I think. Promise upgrades then never deliver.

I have tried to bring this to the attention of our forum members without effect: Verizon Wireless Corporation has never, ever made any official statement direct to their customers on any national official Verizon media outlet or source promising Froyo 2.2 update to their Fascinate owners, never.
Verizon does however allow their employees to say whatever it takes to placate the customer, including lying at any given moment. I read the complete Verizon Customer Agreement and in a section it states that "they" can terminate your service if you steal or lie to Verizon. That is funny and ironic because Verizon does not police itself and offers no punishment for when Verizon employees steal from or lie to the customer.
Let me give you an example of a cute little lie I received from an employee, when a long time ago I called tech support asking about the"update" I was given a dialing string to turn on the hidden menu in our phones and then I was given this: *#*#2432546#*#* to dial and told that this was going to push the Froyo 2.2 update to my phone right now! Well I was really surprised it did not work. afterwards I was told I will call you personally with update information.
Behold 3 weeks later I actually get a call from Verizon's "sweetie" and I am told in confidence I will get Froyo 2.2 in March without fail... and then we all lived happily ever after
