Just bought a Galaxy S3 and it won't connect to my Mac. Spent an hour each with Samsung and Apple...no solution. Anyone?

Thank you!!!! I think this finally worked. I had to dig out the cable that was actually in the phone box (not the accessory pack). File transfer now seems to recognize that I have a phone. Now I just have to figure out how to transfer my files.
Again, many thanks! You were more helpful than Verizon, Samsung, or Apple combined!

You may want to try another USB cord. Some are not compatible with file transfers but only for charging. The cord which came with the phone should work. It does with mine.

Incorrect. Android phones are fully connectable with an app. See the links I gave above.
