I just updated my phone now at the top i see a symbol that looks like a diamond with 4 sections and on the right side are 3 bars coming off it. What is that? my wifi and gps are off
That symbol indicates the 911 emergency location GPS is on. If the regular third party GPS was on the symbol would have the 3 parthenses looking symbols similar to a WiFi symbol next to it.
Verizon told me that this is a new icon for GPS with 911 emergency location. This icon represents a GPS enabled device and will appear regardless if the GPS is on or not. They said this will always be there now and that the GPS works even better. I know this phone has GPS but I guess we need an icon on the top of my phone to tell us this information. It makes no sense to me, just disappointed! Maybe later on in the year we can get a real update?
