KITKAT......what a fail of an update.

SInce update to kitkat my phone takes forever to come out of sleep or just hangs there. Slow? the text screen doesn't register typing until you get 6 letters in to your writing. Every aspect of the phone has been slowed by this update. Not to mention the whole SD card storage access.

Same here, after charging all night the phone has a massive battery drain after an hour of removing it from the charger. GPS randomly quits working, I keep getting an error message that says vzwavservice is no longer working and touchwiz home has stopped. Great phone until Kitkat and now it's nothing but a paperweight plus Verizon refuses to assist in negotiating for a different phone.

Time to let one of the other carriers buy out my plan and move on to a company that actually has decent customer service.

There's still great customer service here and ready to help you stay with Verizon, whender888. Are you still charging your phone using your original home charger? Which GPS program are you using? After the phone is fully charged and you have it off the charger for an hour, please go to Settings>Battery and let us know the top 3 programs listed for battery use. Also, please go to Settings > Applications > Application Manager > scroll over to All. From there, find each of the applications you are receiving errors from and select them one at a time, followed by selecting Clearh Data and Force Close. This should reset those applications and help them communicate better with the update.

I agree with whender888 Version customer support is not that great! With the KitKat update my phone as serveral issues this was not an upgrade this was a down grade. I have issues with all 3 of my car charges that work perfectedly fine the day before the upgrade! and yes one is the OEM. I get the red X and must times the charging is slower than the use when I have the GPS on, never had this issue before. I do have issue 40% of the time finding a GPSD signall, hardly ever had this issue before! My Imap email accounts do not work as imap accounts anymore.When I read a message on another device it does not mark it read on my phone 90% of the time, worked fine before! and no I have not made changes!

We're here to provide expectional customer service! I can see your frustrated with the KitKat update. As your wireless carrier we do our best to support the Google update. However, we did not ourselves program it. You have listed a number of issues you seem to be experiencing. It may be necessary to perform a hard reset on your device at this point.

You can do this in settings>backup and reset>factory data reset.

Be sure to back up your information first. You can use the Verizon Cloud application. http://vz.to/1rVG0ux
