I am having a problem with my S3 and keyboard lag? I have wiped the phone twice, adjusted settings, tried new keyboards and nothing seems to work...any suggestions?
If using the Samsung keyboard try:
Settings > Application manager > All > Samsung keyboard > Clear data
Hello AWilson0610,
A lagging keyboard is not fun. With a virtual keyboard becoming more popular on smartphones, it's super important that they are response and accurate. Let's make sure yours is doing just that. May I ask have you tried the steps that breezex provided? Thanks breezex! If so then what were the results? Also, are you using the default keyboard or a 3rd party keyboard app? As you share the details then we can assist.
Thank you...

ArnettH_VZW - I tried replying to your post in the forum but reply wouldn't
work...I did try what Breezex suggested and it did not help. I am using
the factory keyboard have also tried the Google keyboard. I am wondering
if it isn't all keyboard related - I also have problems with other progras
and typing so I wonder if it is the touch screen. My husband has the same
phone and he doesn't have any problems...are there some settings I can
adjust for the sensitivity of the touch screen? Thank you for your help -
would LOVE to solve this problem

OK thanks for trying to clear the keyboard app cache AWilson0610. Does the Google keyboard behave the same way? Is the keyboard lag happening with a specific function or app? When did this start? When did you last try a battery or SIM pull?JonathanK_VZWVZW SupportFollow Us on Twitter@VZWSupport
Jonathan - all keyboards work the same way. No specific app I notice it the
most when texting and I am using the factory program for texting. I pull my
battery at least once a day and the phone has always begun this way. Have
not pulled my SIM card yet and will try that. Can you suggest settings that
would make the screen sensitivity not so high? I know I originally thought
it was keyboard but I wonder if it's the screen itself?
Thank you for your help it's starting to drive me crazy
If you are a fast texter and realize that it lags mostly when you are texting fast, try the keyboard TouchPal X. It's free and has a lot of awesome features. It even lets you know how fast you are typing and has a lot of different input options to match your texting needs. I was having difficulty with my Google Keyboard so I switched and I absolutely love TouchPal. It's also great if you are a Swype kind of texter.
