Kit Kat 4.4 for the Galaxy S4

I have been reading the rumor posts and what the rumor is stating is there is to be a roll out soon of the 4.4 update for the Galaxy S4, possibly even in the states. Has anyone heard of this or have any new news to share? I have only found a few news articles about this release so if anyone has any info, please share.

Samsung released it, so at SOME point Verizon will. Verizon is always the LAST to roll out software updates. It'll eventually come. Some people have said Kies will upgrade it now as it will be coming directly from Samsung, I haven't been able to try it as I don't run a compatible OS to run Kies. I've tried getting a release date from them since Samsung publically said they've supplied all the carriers with it but play stupid. This stuff is planned out months in advance, they know!

Please don't rush to release KitKat. The early 4.3 release was/is a disaster. WiFi connections lost (says poor Wi-Fi connection even in the same room with the router and no other devices have a problem connecting) forcing higher data usage, more crashes, etc. Just hoping it doesn't get worse with KitKat.

Google released KitKat (4.4) on Oct. 31, 2013. What's that, about 4 months ago? I doubt that the owners of the Verizon S4 will ever get KiKat.

I think VZW will release KK 4.4.2 to VZW S4 owners after every other carrier in the USA has released KK 4.4.2 to their S4 owners. I am sure it will happen this way as that is the way I and many others have seen it in the past. VZW customers with phones other than VZW Flagship DROID phones just have to learn to be patient. I know this can be difficult, at least it is for me. When they do release it they will have it packed with other stuff you will have to wade though and disable like always. Good Luck with your patients. I am still checking my phone daily even though I know better.
