I have a Galaxy S6, which is only 4 months old, and it will not do ANYTHING after I started the latest software update yesterday morning!! 1/2 way through the software update I lost the wi-fi signal, and 3-4 times in the past 24 hours, the home screen will pop up for approximately 10-15 seconds, but that's it! I tried to look for the software update after the shutdown and reboot started, but it states that the software update is "currently unavailable, please try again later"...then proceeded to shut down completely (again). NOT HAPPY!!!!! Will not start in "safe mode", will not stay on for more than 10-15 seconds, fully charged yet nothing happens. Any thoughts?

sounds like you have questionable wi-fi & if you lost the wi-fi signal on the download it's not an update problem.

Then explain why I have had full wi-fi signal since then, and my phone still will not do anything?! It all started when the update stopped 1/2 way through the install. I have been home for the past 2 days, with full wi-fi (which I am using now to reply on my desktop), and my phone still won't go past the red Verizon screen, with a few exceptions for 10-15 seconds. Not mad at you for the suggestion, just really hating Verizon right now!!!!

Failed updates happen often and if factory resets do not help (Which normally wont when an OS update fails mid-way) replacing under warranty is usually the next step.

it doesn't matter what you have after the update, if wi-fi failed on the download, that was the problem.
