Latest Verizon update crashed my PC. Now my phone is a brick.

The only time I've ever got the BSOD on my PC is when using Verizon's Upgrade Manager. Both times it caused my PC to crash while upgrading software and both times bricking my Samsung Galaxy S6. Now I can't shut off my phone--it's stuck on the downloading screen. What do I do now?

Smitty1960, we don't want that device to be a paper weight. When did this issue start? Were you attempting to download a software update? Are you able to access the alternate option to reboot your device by pressing/holding the power and volume up/down button?
