Local number is showing as other countries (Nigeria, Sri Lanka)

I have a Samsung S21 FE 5g, purchased 3 weeks ago. No issues until this morning, when I went to dial 2 local numbers, and though both connected, both showed a country name (Nigeria/ Sri Lanka) under the phone number as it was dialing. It now shows in my completed calls as I called Nigeria and Sri Lanka.

this is very concerning. Please advise on what's going on and how to fix it.

Of note, my last phone also started doing this a few months ago.

I didn't do anything on the old phone. It was a S10.
