I have a Verizon S5 and anytime I receive an MMS, it is received on my end as a group message that includes the sender, as well as myself. If I reply to that thread, I receive the same text because it was sent as a group text including myself. Which therefore, leads to an annoyance of having to find the actual individual thread that is not a group message. Is there a setting that needs to be changed, so that my MMS will be received as individual messages? I even went into settings and unchecked the group message box but it still receives MMS as group messages. Every time. Any advice or solution would be greatly appreciated!

This is very interesting. I can image the annoyance of having to find the actual individual message. Let’s try to get this fixed. Has this always been this way? What messaging application are you using? What happens if you originate a message instead of replying to one?
