MARSHMALLOW screwed up TuneIn. Now turns off at will. Generally hate bloated update. Phone overheats and sucks battery power. Can no longer uninstall your crap, now can only disable.
TuneIn may need to update the app. My family member has it on their S7 and it seems to work fine. Try to uninstall the app and re-install it. You can also provide feedback to TuneIn via the email address within Google Play. Or just put a rating there in Google Play.
Have done updates. Also happens on station-specific apps. Think it is
bloatware!!!! Still doesn't explain other problems, does it?
I concur. I'd suggest booting the device into safe mode and using it for an hour or so. See if the challenges continue. If they don't, then you know it is something installed on your device causing the challenges. I've had challenges with rouge apps / apps that developers need to issue updates on causing challenges on my previous devices.

I said it is Verizon/Samsung bloatware, and you reply you concur...But you persist in telling me it is the app's fault. Since TuneIn worked on my other phone for four years and on this one for six months, I have good reason to believe it is Verizon/Samsung to blame and you don't know what you are talking about. Have installed TuneIn on an antique tablet via wi-fi. Since I only want it to use it at home, I'm good and to hell with arrogant bloatware develops!!!
