My apps from the app store will not update since my phone recieved the software update.
Kyle1985,
We’re dedicated to getting this application update issue resolved. I appreciate the information that you have provided so far on what you have tried.
Thankfully one of our Community members has provided a great resolution for this issue.
Thanks to bhl62 for providing this solution to a customer on a different thread:
Solution: Please install DNSet from the play store using 4G/public wifi, and start it (don't check the auto-start button unless you really want it that way). This creates a VPN that uses Google DNS and bypasses whatever DNS setting is messing up the phone. Please let us know the outcome.

I know how important it is to have working applications. Not to worry we will work together on this. Just to make sure, are all of your applications having this issue or just specific ones? What kind of phone do you have? JasperM_VZWFollow us on Twitter @VZWSupportIf my response answered your question please click the Correct Answer button under my response. When I am connected to my wifi, all of the applications that require an
update do not update. I know it is not my wifi because I can access the
Internet and other things through my wifi. It does affect all of my
applications through the Google play store. Not sure what to do.

Same here exact same problem. So far nothing I have done has worked. Starting to get frustrated.
Which phone model do you have? Have you tried to clear the cache and data for the Play Store application?
Galaxy s6, and I've tried The cache clearing.
Thanks for keeping us updated. We definitely appreciate all that you have tried in order to get things working as they should. Let's keep working on this. To be sure, does this happen with all WiFi connections? Also, what specific model of device are we working with?

I downloaded DNSet, turned it on, did not check the automatically start
box, and it worked perfect! Applications that did not work before: Pandora,
Google play store, you tube app, Netflix app, and others. They all worked
great! I even gave it the real test and turned on airplane mode, and they
all worked through my wifi! I hope that android can find the problem with
marshmallow and get it corrected. Until then I will recommend this fix to
anyone having the same problem. Thank you for the help. Greatly appreciated.
